Chapter 2012
- Ye Yuan was eating when she looked up to find a man carrying Gu Tiantian. The baby was resting on her father's broad shoulder, and he was patting the baby on her back. He knew how to control his strength so that Gu Tiantian would feel comfortable. She looked like she was about to fall asleep.
- Gu Longfan had showered and changed into a white shirt and black slacks. When he entered the room earlier, he placed his black coat on the back of the chair. He looked fresher after a shower—he was back to his usual youthful and handsome self. After that, Ye Yuan continued to keep her gaze lowered as she munched on her meal. Gu Longfan lowered Gu Tiantian into her cot after he made sure that she was asleep.
- With a hand in his pocket, he walked over to Ye Yuan. "Does it still hurt?" he asked softly. Madam Yue had told Ye Yuan about how badly Gu Tiantian was crying the day before and how Gu Longfan had fed Gu Tiantian with formula milk as he couldn't bear to wake Ye Yuan. As Madam Yue told the story, she even made a playful comment about how Gu Longfan seemed to love his wife more than he loved his daughter.
