Chapter 71 Face Masks

  • They arrived at the Anthony mansion after 1 pm. Her father-in-law was so happy to see them; he kissed his daughter in love in both cheeks. “Dad, I was upset today, women were ogling at my husband, and I’m going to buy a face mask to hide his face. I dragged him to the jewelry shop to buy him a wedding ring.” Her father-in-law beamed and said, “Well done my daughter in love, Mark let me see the ring.” Mark smiled and showed his father his ring. Mark laughed at her; it seemed that his wife didn’t know how beautiful she was. They walked to the kitchen to put groceries on the kitchen table.

Mark took the vegetables and washed them. “Big brother let me help you.” Mark told him to wear an apron, and then he showed him how to chop the onions, peppers, and carrots. Victoria looked at them and smiled, they were working well together. When they finished chopping the vegetables, Victoria chased them out of the kitchen. “Let us help you with salads, the kitchen is spacious, we are not going to disturb you. I need you and our babies to rest as soon as possible.” Mark rubbed her stomach gentle and kissed his wife on the lips. Victoria smiled brightly at him; she told him to go ahead.
  • Jonathan had never been in the kitchen before. Mark showed him how to make green salad, then he cooked other salads; butternut, mashed potato, and creamy spinach and chili chakalaka as a side dish. Victoria cooked savory rice and lamb stew. Then she marinated and grilled the T-bone steak. It was tender and succulent. After that she cooked soft pap for her father-in-law. The aroma made them hungry. Then she asked them to set the table. They went to the dining room to set the table. She put food in different casserole dishes; they sat around the table and ate. “My daughter in love, food is delicious,” said her father-in-law beaming.
