Chapter 203 No Father-daughter Relationship

  • Emmanuel Johnson was resting in their bedroom with his lovely wife, Abigail, in his arms. Abigail looked at her husband tenderly and said, “my dearest husband, I am sorry that I lied about my parents. My father is still alive but he is dead in my heart. There is no father-daughter relationship between us.” Abigail picked up a glass of water and took a sip. There was so much pain in her eyes and said, “After my mother passed away, my father remarried. Then my stepmother chased me out of my house and my father didn’t say anything. I decided to change my surname, Gates to my mother’s maiden name, Anderson.” Emmanuel’s heart ached when he heard his wife’s painful past. He hugged his lovely wife tightly and kissed her gentle, “I am so sorry, my sweetheart. How old were you when your mother passed away?” Abigail had tears in her eyes and said, “I was sixteen years old when my mother passed away and my stepmother was my mother’s best friend. My mother treated her as her sister and she trusted her with her life. Unbeknownst to her, she was having an affair with my father behind her back. During the post mortem, the doctor discovered that my mother had died due to poison. A couple of months later, my dad remarried. I couldn’t believe my eyes when he introduced my mother’s best friend as my stepmother. Even though I didn’t have evidence, I knew in my heart that my stepmother killed my mother. One day she confessed to me that she was the one who had killed my mother. She told me that she would get rid of me as well. I was so angry; I wanted to kill her with my bare hands. When we were fighting, my father came back from work. I was so happy to see him. I rushed to him and I told my father what my stepmother had told me. Unfortunately, he didn’t believe me. He gave me two tight slaps and I fell on the ground. It was the first time my father laid hands on me. Hatred towards my stepmother was deep. From that day, my father disowned me and my stepmother chased me out of my home. If it wasn’t for my best friend, Kimberly Anthony, I would have died a long time ago or I would have become a street kid. She took me under her wing.”
  • Emmanuel kissed her tears and said, “You are such a strong woman and I am so proud of you for what you have become. Your father will regret his decision and he will beg you for forgiveness. Have I told you lately how much I love you?” Abigail smiled sweetly at her husband and said, “You have told me many times today. It’s been more than twenty years since I’ve seen my father and I have accepted in my heart that I don’t have a father. You are the only one I have and I love you more.” She kissed her husband; Emmanuel was overjoyed when he saw his lovely wife taking initiative. His beloved wife was shy, and then he took over. Abigail was kissed senseless. They were both panting, Abigail was grinning from ear to ear and said with a soft voice, “Love, do you mind if we have a baby?” Emmanuel laughed and said, “Sweetheart, anything you want you will have it. Why don’t we start making a baby right now?” Abigail laughed and said, “Love, did you forget that James is coming for dinner? I am scared that we will not have enough time. I promise you after dinner I am all yours.” Then she ran away to the kitchen. Emmanuel sighed, and then he followed his wife smiling. He was very happy; he thanked the Lord for blessing him with Abigail.
  • James arrived at his father's mansion around 6 pm. He bought a non-alcoholic wine for his father and a pair of emerald earrings for his stepmother. The sales lady told him that there were five pairs of these earrings in the world. Butler Ed opened the gate for him. At the door, his father and his stepmother were waiting to welcome him. His father had a broad smile on his face; he hugged his son and said, “I am glad that you came. I would like you to meet my wife, Abigail Johnson.” James smiled and said, “Nice to meet you, Auntie.” Abigail smiled back and said, “nice to meet you too James, I heard a lot about you from your father.” James laughed and said, “I hope good things only.” Abigail laughed out loud. When his father saw his wife and his son getting along well, he was so happy. They walked to the living room. James gave them their gifts. Abigail was over the moon when she saw the emerald earrings. She thanked James, and then she went to the kitchen to fetch the food. Then they walked to the dining room to eat.
