Chapter 155 Engagement Celebration

• Tamara was sitting in her office in a daze looking at her engagement ring. She wished her parents were still alive to celebrate with her. Zion had made her the happiest woman on earth. She called her Secretary, Ann Noah and asked her to organize finger lunch platters for the whole staff members and to send a communication indicating that they were invited to attend a meeting at 12 pm . Ann Noah smiled and asked, “what is the occasion President Cole?” Tamara smiled brightly at her and showed her the ring. Ann Noah screamed and said, “Congratulations President, your ring is so beautiful.” Tamara thanked her then Ann Noah left the office. She quickly sent the invite to the Managers. They were puzzled since Secretary Ann Noah didn’t tell them the agenda. The office had two big boardrooms; they were divided by partition. Then she asked the Maintenance staff to remove the partition and put more chairs. Cole Group had five hundred staff members so it was not easy to find the company which would cater for them at short notice. She tried several companies, but they couldn’t take the order. She was about to give up, but she was reminded that President Cole was Mr Anthony’s niece, so she quickly called His Glory hotel to place an order. When she mentioned Tamara’s name the hotel Manager promised to deliver the food at 12 pm.
• At 11:55 His Glory hotel staff entered the Cole Group carrying food platters. They were told to go to the boardroom. They had Meat platters, Vegan platters, Seafood platters, Fruit platters, Sandwich platters and fifty jugs of juice. Ann Noah thanked them then she gave them a cheque. Staff members started to enter the boardroom; their eyes lit up when they saw the food. When everyone was sitting down Ann said, “this is a token of appreciation from our CEO for your hard work.” She asked the Managers to dish for their staff members who couldn’t leave their work. Then she asked the Managers to dish for themselves first, when they finished their staff members followed. Food was fresh and delicious. They thanked their CEO in her absentia, and they promised to work hard. Tamara left the office at 12 pm and drove to His Wings restaurant.
• In the meantime, Zion was driving to the restaurant with his Grandmother. She was grinning from ear to ear, she was really happy. She was looking forward to meeting her in-laws. She wished that it was her grandson’s wedding day. They arrived at the same time with Tamara, she smiled brightly when she saw them. She walked to them then she hugged Grandma White and said, “it’s nice to see you Grandma. Are you well?” Grandma White smiled broadly then she replied, “I’m very well sweet child, show your Grandma your ring.” Tamara smiled sweetly and showed Grandma White her ring. Grandma White was beaming and said, “you have beautiful hands my child, what a beautiful ring and it suits you. I wish today is your wedding day.” Tamara giggled and replied, “me too Grandma, I will give you great-grandsons and great-granddaughters to play with you.” Grandma laughed out loud and replied, “I can’t wait to hold those little buns in my arms.” Tamara took Grandma’s arm then she led her to the restaurant.
