Chapter 121 Valentine's Day (1)

  • At Lewis Group, the Marketing department had arranged a surprise for the ladies. On Friday, Sam Tate called all department managers and asked them to tell men in their departments to come early on Monday at 8:00 am and joined them at the reception. At 8:00, two rows of handsome men stood at the entrance of the company waiting for the ladies. Sam Tate and Jonathan handed ten roses and ten chocolate slabs with a little card to each gentleman. When the ladies saw them they smiled brightly, each lady was given the goodies with a smile. Some of them didn’t have boyfriends, so they thanked the company from the bottom of their hearts for putting a smile on their faces. The ladies were wearing red and white. They were beautiful. Since it was Valentine’s Day, the flower shops were very busy. They were advised that CEO Lewis would give all the ladies half a day to spend time with their beloved.
  • Some ladies were waiting for the lift talking and laughing, a pretty girl with dimples was looking at her rose with a smile on her face and said, “I hope my boyfriend will send me flowers today.” They all had the same wish in their hearts except for the girl who was not wearing Valentine’s Day colors. She was wearing a black dress, black stockings, and black shoes. She looked at them with disdain in her eyes and said, “I hate Valentine’s Day. Five years ago, my ex-fiancé dumped me on Valentine’s Day. He took me to His Glory hotel, then he ordered all my favourite dishes. I was so happy I was smiling from ear to ear. When we finished eating, I gave him a set of engraved cufflinks, smiling. He didn’t take them. He looked at me with cold eyes, then he told me that he had fallen in love with someone else and he wanted to call off the engagement. I was so shocked; I didn’t see it coming, he broke my heart into pieces. He was my world, my everything. Since that day I wore black clothes on Valentine’s Day, I have stopped celebrating it. After six months, he came back groveling. He asked me to take him back because he still loved me. I would never forgive him for what he did to me.”
  • The girl with dimples looked at her and said, “you have to forgive him for yourself and move on with your life. Your unforgiveness is holding you back, you can’t go back, and you can’t move forward. Give him a second chance or date someone else. If you don’t want to see him, you can write him a forgiveness letter for your own healing. When you are done writing it you must read it to a chair as if he is sitting in front of you, then you burn it afterwards. What do you mean by wearing black clothes on Valentine’s Day? Are you still mourning your love?” The black-dressed girl replied, “I hear you, it’s true what you have said, because of bitterness in my heart I can’t move on. Since we broke up, I closed my heart. I’m wearing black clothes as a reminder of what he did to me on this day. I will never give him a second chance. I will write him a letter as you indicated, since I don’t want to talk to him. Thank you for your advice.” The girl with dimples smiled at her, then the lift arrived.
