Chapter 171 Victoria's Baby Shower

• On Saturday morning Victoria and Mark sent a birthday blessing to Jonathan. They called him and sang a happy birthday song, Victoria’s voice was beautiful. Jonathan was overjoyed when he heard them singing. At that moment Mark received a call from Chief Editor of the Glory magazine, “Hello Mr Anthony, sorry to trouble you. We are celebrating our magazine turning point, I’m not sure if you and your beautiful wife will be able to join us today at 12 pm.” Mark told him that it was his younger brother’s birthday today, therefore they were not available. After they hung up Mark sent him a text message indicating that it was his wife’s baby shower and later they would have his brother’s birthday party. He told him that they were happy for the magazine. The magazine managed to sell more than 200 000 copies and they were still receiving orders.
• The Anthony family decided to hold the baby shower outdoors. Their backyard was huge surrounded by flowers. They were expecting more than forty people. Mr Lewis brought his in laws to the Anthony mansion after breakfast. When they arrived Jonathan and Theodore were busy with the balloons. They were tying black, white, and gold balloons on the balloon holder stands and placed them near each table. The baby shower theme was black, white, and gold. Tamara and Aunt Abigail were putting white table cloth on the round tables of six with white chairs. White cushions were placed on each chair. They used umbrellas and white tulip flowers as centerpieces. The umbrellas were decorated with gold silk sunflowers with crystals. There were also gold underplates with white plates on top with gold and white cutlery. Tables were elegant and stunning.
• For Mama and Daddy to be there was a luxurious King and Queen Throne chair with soft pillows. There was a small table next to them on either side with cakes, macaroons and cupcakes that matched the theme of the day. They placed a table to put the gifts. Patrick, Emmanuel, and Timothy were responsible for braaing the meat. Aunt Olga and Auntie Angel were in the kitchen cooking soft pap and salads. The guests started to arrive at the Anthony mansion from 11:30, they were wearing all white. Aunt Abigail went to Tamara’s bedroom to change. On her way back she met Mr Johnson. When their eyes met, time stood still. Aunt Abigail’s heart was beating uncontrollable. Mr Johnson’s knees became weak, what just happened? Aunt Abigail looked at Mr Johnson with a smile and excused herself. She hastened her steps with her hand in her chest and joined the others. Mark and Victoria asked her to be their sons’ Godmother.
