Chapter 212 His Blessings Day Care

  • Two years later….
  • It was Grandpa Anthony’s turn to fetch his little dumplings from His Blessings Day Care that week. His grandsons were two and a half years old. They were his pride and joy. He parked his black Mercedes Benz in the parking lot, then he walked slowly to the school gate and waited. He was fifteen minutes early, he didn’t want his little dumplings to wait for him. His trusted bodyguard, Zane, parked his car beside his boss’ car. He was responsible for the well-being of Mr Anthony’s grandchildren. A few minutes later, more parents came. As soon as the security guard opened the gate, the young lady rushed towards the three-year-old classroom. As soon as she entered the classroom, she shouted and said, “Baby, show me the boy who ate your sandwiches.” Her son pointed his finger to Rafael; the young lady rushed to Rafael and slapped him hard. Mr Anthony tried to block the slap but he was a second too late. He took crying Rafael in his arms and asked fuming, “Why are you beating up my grandson?” The young lady looked at Mr Anthony with disdain in her eyes and replied, “Old man, if you are failing to discipline your grandchildren I will help you teach them a lesson. Your grandson is so young but he is a thief. He is stealing my son’s food.” Mr Anthony was so angry he wanted to beat up the young lady but he restrained himself. Other parents knew who Mr Anthony was; they were so scared they didn’t want to be implicated. They quickly took their kids and left. Was she accusing the richest man’s grandchild of stealing? Was she insane? They felt sorry for the young lady and her family. Rafael was crying softly in his grandfather’s arms. Mr Anthony looked at the young lady with a smile on his face and asked, “How are you going to pay for my grandchild’s injury?” The young lady looked at Mr Anthony and replied arrogantly, “Old man, your grandchild deserves it.” Then she held her son’s hand and walked towards the door but Zane stopped her. The young lady looked at Zane and said, “What do you mean by stopping me from leaving?” Zane looked at her and said, “Please answer my boss’ question first, then I will let you go.” The young lady was so upset she laughed out loud and said, “Who do you think you are? I am calling my husband now, he will sort you out.” Then she took her phone and called her husband, “Hubby, I’m being bullied at our son’s Day Care. Please come quickly.” The young lady was Irene Young, the daughter in law of Cedric Young, the founder of the Young Group. He was one of Mr Lewis’ friends who turned his back on him when the Lewis Group was facing bankruptcy. Also, he didn’t pay back the money he owed Mr Lewis.
  • At that moment, Principal Harvey came running to the classroom. He walked to Mr Anthony and said, “I am so sorry, Mr Anthony.” Before Mr Anthony could respond, the young lady interrupted them and said, “Why are you apologizing to this old man but not to my child who has been bullied by his grandson. Old man, your child is a bully; and I don’t want to see him in this school. Principal Harvey, you must expel him. There is no place for him here. What I hate the most are the poor people who don’t know their place.” Principal Harvey was so scared; he wanted to shut the young lady’s mouth. Did she know that Mr Anthony could close His Blessings Day Care with the twinkle of an eye? He looked at the young lady and said, “Mrs Young, I think this is a misunderstanding. Why don’t we sit down and discuss this matter in my office?” Mrs Young looked at Principal Harvey with disdain in her eyes and said, “I don’t want to go to your office, you are bullying me because I am a woman. Wait for my husband, he is on his way.” Mr Anthony was rubbing his grandson’s cheek. Gabriel was in Zane’s arms with tears in his eyes. He was frightened by that woman. Mr Anthony looked at Rafael with eyes full of love and asked, “Rafael, tell grandpa what happened.” Rafael looked at his grandpa with tears in his eyes and replied, “Grandpa, last week Owen wanted to take my sandwich but I refused to give it to him. I never steal his food. Mommy gives us enough food every day.” Mrs Young didn’t sit still when she heard Rafael accuse her precious son and shouted, “You are so young but you are such a liar. I’m questioning your upbringing. It is clear to me that your grandfather taught you to steal from others at a young age. What are you doing in this school since you are poor?” Principal Harvey was sweating. Mrs Young offended someone she couldn’t afford to offend. Mr Anthony took his phone and dialed Theodore’s number and said, “Hello Theodore, someone is bullying your nephew at His Blessings Day Care. Please come and settle this matter for me. I want to take my grandson to the hospital.” Theodore was dumfounded. He couldn’t believe his ears. Who could bully the Anthony family’s little dumplings?” He took his car keys and rushed to school. His Blessings Day Care was not far from his office.
