Chapter 28 I am Married

• Victoria called Mr Johnson and invited him to His Wings restaurant for lunch. She went to her father’s office and told him that she had invited Mr Johnson to tell him about her marriage. Her father nodded his head, he asked her to join him in the meeting. Victoria went to her office and took her laptop, and then she went to the conference room. The board members were already there, her father took the main seat, George was sitting on the right side. Victoria sat next to her father on the left side; the meeting began. “I asked Victoria to join us to give us feedback regarding the project.” The board members nodded their heads. Victoria gave them feedback, she answered all the questions accurately, they were satisfied. They discussed other matters, and then the meeting adjourned after an hour.
• Victoria went to her office, she called her deputy director, Sam Tate and told him that she was coming from the board meeting, and they were happy with the progress of the project. She asked him to set up a meeting with the team to finalize the project. Sam was happy to hear that and went to his office to send the meeting invite. Sam Tate was talented, very smart and he had great ideas. He went to the same university as Victoria. When he was doing his second year, Victoria was doing her first year. They became friends. Sam fell in love with Victoria, but he didn’t have courage to tell her. He was upset when Victoria entered a contractual marriage with James.
• At 12 pm, Victoria drove her car to His Wings restaurant to meet Mr Johnson. They arrived at the same time. Mr Johnson kissed her on both cheeks, he was so happy to see her. While they were eating, Victoria told him that she was married. Mr Johnson was chocked by his food. Victoria rubbed him on his back. “What did you say, are you married? Who is your husband?” asked Mr Johnson coughing. “I married Mark Anthony on Monday, we love each other so much dad,” said Victoria smiling. She told him that she had met Mark two years ago in this restaurant and they fell in love at first sight.
