Chapter 101 She Wanted To Sow A Discord Between Us

• Timothy Anthony was tossing and turning, his son nearly lost his beloved wife and children because of him. He married Grace to ease the pain of losing his wife Kimberly. Since his first wife passed away he never smiled, he hardened his heart then he buried himself in his empire. He walked to his bathroom to take a shower then he wore his black suit with white shirt and red tie. His eyes were bloodshot, he had dark circles under his eyes. It was clear it was caused by sleep deprivation. Then he headed down to the living room. Theodore and Jonathan were in the living room reading a newspaper. “Good morning, did you sleep well?” They indicated that they didn’t sleep well, they were thinking about their sister-in-law and the babies. He told them that he was tossing and turning blaming himself for bringing harm to his daughter in love. The Housekeeper and Tamara were busy preparing breakfast.
• Theodore was reading the newspaper aloud, they were shocked when they saw the first page, it was about how the Edwards Group was founded. It was mentioned that Glen Edwards borrowed money from Patrick Lewis, but he never paid it back. When he was facing difficulties Glen Edwards refused to give him a hand, he was gloating. The newspaper labelled him as an ungrateful person, who repaid kindness with evil. It revealed that the bank refused to grant him a loan. As a result, he failed to pay the foreign company for the consignment which was shipped to South Africa. Furthermore, Ben, the reporter interviewed his friends, they indicated that when Glen Edwards’ company was flourishing, he looked down on them and stopped speaking to them. Hence they were not willing to help him when his company was in trouble. They indicated that when Patrick Lewis was in trouble, Glen Edwards tried to benefit from Patrick Lewis’ sorrow by trying to arrange a marriage between his good for nothing son Robert, a womanizer Patrick Lewis’ precious daughter Victoria. It was not coming from a pure heart, he told them that he wanted to see Victoria suffer. He was jealous of Patrick Lewis’ success. Ben, the reporter visited Edwards Group to interview Glen Edwards, he was told that he wasn’t available. His assistant refused to give him his boss’ phone number.
• The Housekeeper informed them that breakfast was ready, they headed to the dining room to eat but they had no appetite. Theodore put down the cutlery and said, “I read the shocking news about the Edwards Group, Uncle Timothy do you know how much he owed Uncle Patrick?” Uncle Timothy replied, “Patrick lent him five billion rands twenty years ago, Glen promised to pay back the money with interest, but Patrick didn’t see a cent. I sent Ravi to him to collect the money, we are going to auction his office building in three days’ time.” Theodore said, “I was going to collect the money for Uncle Patrick. He takes advantage of Uncle Patrick because he is kindhearted. I’m glad that Uncle Patrick refused to have a marriage alliance with him.” Uncle Timothy nodded his head, he looked at Jonathan and said, “what is wrong Son?” Jonathan smiled and replied, “nothing Dad, I was thinking about my brother, will he ever forgive me for causing pain to my sister-in-law?” His father patted his shoulder and said, “it’s not your fault Son, your brother is a good man and he value your relationship. I’m going to ask Patrick to accompany me to your brother’s house to tell him who is the culprit, maybe your brother will cut ties with me since he nearly lost his family because of my decision I made when I lost his mother.” Jonathan never knew that his relationship with his brother would be tested like that, he felt numb in his heart.
