• When Mrs Johnson saw Macy she became very angry and rushed to her. She vented her anger to her, she slapped her hard across the face and said, “why did you invite Serene to your party?” Macy was caught off guard she couldn’t dodge on time. Mrs Johnson tried to slap her again, but a strong arm held her wrist and pushed her hard, she fell on the floor. She cried out loud, but no one helped her up. Macy rubbed her swelling face and said, “Auntie, I didn’t invite Serene I was shocked when I saw her. When I asked her she told me that James and Uncle Emmanuel forbade her to go but you allowed her. I was wondering who in the right mind can allow a heavily pregnant woman to attend a party. Serene told Sandra that your marriage was in trouble. Auntie, were you taking a revenge on Serene for messing up your marriage? Did you think about the innocent baby?” Mrs Johnson looked at Macy and sneered, “what nonsense are you spouting? There is no problem in my marriage. I didn’t .....” Mr Johnson interrupted her and said, “why did you allow Serene to attend the party?” Mrs Johnson was so shocked that her husband believed Macy’s lies and said, “it’s not true Hubby Macy is lying.” Macy looked at her and asked, “Auntie, what was your intention of letting Serene attend the party?” Mrs Johnson looked at her husband, but she didn’t utter a word. Macy looked at Mrs Johnson and said, “Auntie, Serene is a revengeful person she will never forgive your family for causing her parents’ death. Auntie, you played into Serene’s hands. You singlehandedly destroyed your own marriage by siding with Serene. I hope it is not too late to fix it. Since you killed her trump card she will never let you go. There will come a time when you wish you appreciated Victoria, but it will be too late to regret.” Mrs Johnson was so shocked to hear Macy’s words since it was not the first time, James said the same words to her previously, but she ignored him. • It was 2 am when they saw two nurses wheeling Serene into the ward. Mrs Johnson followed them and sat beside the bed. Mr Johnson didn’t follow his wife to the ward because he didn’t want to agitate Serene. There was something telling him that the accident was not simple. He looked at Mr Michael and said, “there is something I don’t understand. Macy, why did Serene choose to use the second floor bathroom, since you have a bathroom in your bedroom? Where was Sandra at that time?” Macy told him that she asked Serene to use the bathroom in her bedroom, but she refused. She indicated that she wanted to stretch her legs. It was understandable because she was heavily pregnant. She also told him that Sandra was fast asleep at that time, and she was drunk. Mr Johnson felt that the whole thing was orchestrated by Serene and Sandra, but he didn’t tell Macy and her father, “Macy, do you have Sandra’s phone number?” Macy nodded and sent Sandra’s contact details to Mr Johnson. Since Mrs Johnson was with Serene they decided to leave. Mr Johnson was concerned about his son James. He drove his car to James apartment. Fortunately, he found him sitting in the darkness sobbing. He was blaming himself for failing to stop Serene to leave the house even though he was aware that something bad was going to happen. He felt that he was being punished because he asked Serene to abort the baby when he found out that she was pregnant. His father sat next to him and didn’t utter a word.
• At 7 am Mr Johnson called Mr Anthony and said, “Timothy, I need your help. Do you mind if I come to your house?” Mr Johnson decided to investigate Serene’s miscarriage hence he asked for Timothy’s help. When he arrived at the Anthony mansion Timothy was waiting for him in the garden. Mr Johnson’s face was haggard, and his eyes were bloodshot it showed that he didn’t sleep. He looked at Mr Anthony and said, “Timothy, sorry to trouble you early in the morning. I need your help, Serene had miscarriage at the Michael’s mansion yesterday, but I feel that the accident is not simple. Please ask your Private Investigator to help me.” Mr Anthony took his phone and called Rich Smith and told him about Serene’s miscarriage. He sent him Serene and Sandra’s contact details.
