Chapter 57 I'm Reporting For Duty

• As soon as Mark finished washing up, he put a bathrobe and filled the bathtub with water. Then he woke up his wife with a kiss. Victoria dragged him into bed and returned his kiss. “I miss you so much.” Mark laughed at his wife, he hugged her tightly, “Don’t mess around; I will help you to bath.” Immediately, he picked up his wife and placed her in the bathtub. He helped her to wash her hair; he wrapped her head with a towel. Mark wrapped Victoria with a towel and walked out of the bathroom. He helped her to dress up, after that he wore his suit. Victoria stared at his beautiful body, she wanted to touch him, but Mark dressed himself quickly. They headed down to the dining room to eat. Jonathan was in the living room reading the newspaper. They greeted him and walked to the dining room. Breakfast was delicious. Auntie Angel prepared three lunch boxes for them. Jonathan was happy to get a lunch box as well.
• Then they left the house. Victoria reminded Jonathan that he would start working at Lewis Group the following day. Jonathan told her that he would never let her down. Mark took his wife to work. Last night, when he was in his study room waiting for his wife, he called his father and told him that Victoria was going back to work. He asked his father to send the bodyguards to the Lewis Group. When they arrived, he saw two bodyguards waiting for them. They greeted them; they walked to the lift with them. Mark asked them to wait outside the door. He closed the door and took his wife in his arms and kissed her passionately, then he left the office. He told the bodyguards to get inside the office. Victoria told them to sit on the sofa. She called her father and told him about the bodyguards. Her father was happy about that. The receptionist called Mrs Johnson to tell her that Victoria was back at work.
• Mark went to the Anthony Group. He approached the receptionist, Angela Brown. He asked her to call Deon Adams. She didn’t forget that last time the Chairman came down and fetched Mark personally, she was grateful that she wasn’t dismissed on that day. So, she quickly called Mr Adams, “Mr Mark is here to see you.” Deon was surprised to get a call from young Mr Anthony. He quickly went down to the reception. He shook his hand, “Mr Anthony, how may I help you?” Mark smiled and said, “Please call me by my name, Mr Anthony is my dad. I’m here to report for duty, please take me to my dad’s office.” Deon was shocked the Chairman didn’t tell him that Mark would be reporting for work today. Mark told him that his father was not aware that he would be joining the company. They took a lift to the Chairman’s office. Deon knocked at the door; Chairman Anthony told him to enter. He was surprised to see his son. He smiled and rushed to him and hugged him. “What a pleasant surprise, what are you doing here?” Mark smiled and replied, “I’m reporting for duty, dad.” His father was shocked. He hugged his son tightly. He was beaming, this was the best news ever, “I’m so glad son, which position do you like?” His son was capable. In Johnson Group, he was holding a Deputy CEO position. Mark smiled and replied, “I want to be your assistant, dad.” His father was beaming, he was reminded of the day when he asked his younger son to be his assistant, but he felt that his father was looking down on him. “Son, let me take you to your office.” Mark was dumbfounded; his father had already prepared the office for him. His office was beautiful, spacious, and it had a good view. “Thank you dad, when did you prepare this office for me?” He told him that his office was ready since he asked him to become a CEO. “Settle down Son, I have an appointment with Good News Group this afternoon to discuss the cooperation, please attend on my behalf, I will give you the details later.” Mark nodded his head; his father left the office. The ladies in the office were so excited to see such a handsome young man. The brave ones went to Deon to ask about Mark. Deon told them that he was young Mr Anthony, and he was married. They were so disappointed.
