Chapter 205 Investigating Abigail

• “Rich Smith speaking, how may I help you?” asked the founder of Smith Private Investigators. Rosemary quickly replied, “My name is Rosemary Johnson. I need your help. The Good News Group’s CEO is having an affair with my husband, Emmanuel Johnson. Kindly investigate the homewrecker for me.” Rich was surprised to hear Rosemary twisting the truth because Timothy told him about Abigail and Emmanuel’s marriage. “Mrs Johnson, it will cost you fifty thousand rand. I will send you the company’s bank details. In the meantime, I will collect the information then come back to you with information in two hours’ time. Do you want us to meet in person or must I send the information by e-mail?” Rosemary gave Rich her e-mail address, then they hung up the phone. She quickly deposited fifty thousand rand in Smith Private Investigators' account. Rosemary couldn’t wait to destroy the homewrecker. She took a cab and went home in high spirits.
• Rich quickly dialed Timothy’s number. When Timothy saw the caller ID, he smiled and said, “Hello my friend, how are you?” Rich told him that all was well and said, “I received a call from Rosemary Johnson, she wants me to investigate a homewrecker, Abigail, who is having an affair with her husband. Should I reject her?” Timothy laughed out loud and replied, “There is something wrong with Rosemary’s head. How can she be so shameless? She was divorced a long time ago but she still calls herself Mrs Johnson. Should she tarnish Abigail’s reputation, she will feel my wrath. You know what Rich, just give the information to her. I want to see what she will do with it.” Then he called Zane and asked him to report Rosemary’s every move. He dialed Mr Johnson’s number. When Mr Johnson saw the caller ID, he quickly answered the phone, “Hello Timothy, are you well?” Mr Anthony replied smiling, “Hello Emmanuel, we are well, thank you. I want to give you a heads up. Your ex-wife is investigating Abigail. Should she harm her, she would feel my wrath.” Emmanuel was puzzled because they were already divorced. He thanked Timothy, then they hung up. He took his car keys and went to the Good News Group to see his lovely wife. When he passed the flower shop he bought roses for his wife. Emmanuel gave his wife flowers; Abigail smiled sweetly at him and thanked him. She was so happy to see her husband and said smiling, “what a pleasant surprise.” Emmanuel took her in his arms and kissed her. He smiled and replied, “I was absent-minded and I’ve decided to come here to keep you company. I miss you so much.” Abigail smiled sweetly at her husband, she looked at him and asked, “what is wrong, my love?” Emmanuel told her that Rosemary was investigating her. Abigail laughed and replied, “I think she wants to know when we started dating. Unfortunately, for her, I have nothing to hide.” Emmanuel spent some time with his wife. He helped her with some contracts which were lying on her desk.
• Rich sent the information to Rosemary after an hour. She was overjoyed when she saw Abigail’s father’s contact details and his home address. She asked her driver to take her to Limpopo. According to Mr Smith’s information, Abigail’s father was staying in the village. It took them three and a half hours to reach the village. It was not difficult to find Abigail’s home. Rosemary asked the driver to wait for her in the car, and then she went to the house. Fortunately, the gate wasn’t locked. She knocked at the door; a woman around sixty years old opened the door. She was Abigail’s stepmother, Mrs Belinda Gates. She looked at Rosemary and asked, “Are you looking for someone?” Rosemary smiled and replied, “Good day Madam, I am looking for Abigail’s father, Mr Gates.” Mrs Belinda Gates looked at Rosemary and asked, “Who are you? Why are you looking for my husband?” Rosemary introduced herself and told her that she was seeking help from Mr Gates because his daughter was having an affair with her husband. Mrs Gates was overjoyed when she heard Rosemary’s words. She asked her to come inside the house. Mr Gates was sitting on the sofa watching television. His wife approached him and said, “Dear, we have a guest, Mrs Rosemary Johnson. She needs our help.” Mr Gates looked at Rosemary and asked, “How may I help you, Mrs Johnson?” Rosemary told him that Abigail was a homewrecker who destroyed her marriage. She asked Mr Gates to go with her to Johannesburg to talk sense to his daughter. He didn’t want to get involved in his daughter’s private affairs, but his wife persuaded him. Mrs Gates wanted to see Abigail being embarrassed in public. “Dear, it is not the time to be soft-hearted now. Abigail has embarrassed the Gates family. She must listen to you because you are her father. Don’t forget to teach her a lesson.” Mr Gates was helpless against his wife. He was regretting disowning his only daughter without investigating the allegations made by his daughter against his wife. Since his daughter was young she was a sensible child, he didn’t believe Mrs Johnson’s words. Hence he was reluctant to help her. Rosemary offered them a lot of money when she saw that Mr Gates didn’t want to help her. Mrs Gates was over the moon when she saw the money. On the same day, Mr and Mrs Gates went to Johannesburg with Mrs Johnson. Since Rosemary was banned at His Glory hotel, she decided to take them to the Johnson mansion. When Mrs Gates saw the mansion, jealousy was written all over her face. The mansion was so beautiful and it was lavishly decorated with antiques. It showed that the Johnsons were very rich. No wonder her stepdaughter, Abigail, became Mr Johnson’s mistress. She smiled at Rosemary and said, “Mrs Johnson, you have a beautiful house.” Rosemary saw the jealousy in Mrs Gates' face. She smiled, and then she took them to the guest room.
