Chapter 145 Breech Position

• On Sunday morning Victoria woke up early to prepare breakfast before her father in law left to meet the Interior Designer. She made home-made croissants and baked muffins then she prepared full English breakfast. Then she cut the fruits in small cubes to make fruit salad then she poured double plain yoghurt and placed it in the fridge. She saw her husband coming to the kitchen, she smiled and said, “good morning my love, did you sleep well?” Mark smiled back at her then he kissed her and replied, “good morning Sweetheart, I slept well thank you and you?” Victoria told him that she slept well. Then Mark looked at her and said, “If I remember correctly you were forbidden to enter the kitchen, what are you doing here alone?” Victoria looked down and replied, “when I woke up you were sleeping peacefully, and I was scared to disturb you. My handsome husband, I understand that you are worried that I might hurt myself and I’m sorry that I didn’t wake you up.” Mark took his wife in his arms and kissed her gentle and said, “I’m not angry with you, I want you to rest more, your feet are swollen.” Victoria nodded her head and said, “I’m done cooking I’m going to sit down now.” Then they left the kitchen and walked to the living room. Mark put her legs on the cushion to elevate them.
• Shortly her father in law walked in the living, he beamed when he saw them and greeted them. He looked at them and asked, “why are you up so early my daughter in love?” Victoria smiled at her father in law and replied, “we wanted to eat breakfast with you Dad.” Her father in law was so happy to hear that and said, “Son, don’t allow her to go near the kitchen.” Mark nodded his head and looked at his wife. Victoria smiled sweetly at her husband and said, “I promise that I’m not going to enter the kitchen anymore.” Her father in law was satisfied with his daughter in love’s response and asked, “have you decided when are you going to give birth?” Victoria replied smiling, “we did Dad, I will give birth when I’m thirty six weeks pregnant. We went to Dr Cain for more clarity he indicated that since I’m carrying twins it would be difficult for me to give birth naturally then he suggested C-section. He gave us the advantages and disadvantages of C-section. He said it is quick and easy compared to having a natural birth which is very risky to the twins and myself. He said it took hours to give birth to the twins naturally whereas with C-section it will take an hour or less. Furthermore, he indicated that it would be difficult to give birth naturally should one of the twins is in a breech position. After giving birth by C-section, I will stay in the hospital under observation for four days and the recovery will take longer. What do you think Dad?” Her father in law nodded his head then he replied, “I fully agree with Dr Cain natural birth is risky, one can lose her life. I was told that Mark was in a breech position when my wife was in labor.” They saw pain in his eyes he was thinking about his wife who passed away giving birth to Mark. He was thinking that if they had performed C-section then maybe his wife would be still alive. He had tears in his eyes, Mark and Victoria hugged him tightly.
• At that moment, the Housekeeper informed them that breakfast was ready then he walked to Jonathan’s bedroom to wake his up. When he was about to knock on the door Jonathan opened his door, the Housekeeper informed him that breakfast was ready. Jonathan joined them and greeted everyone. They walked to the dining room, her father in law’s eyes lit up when he saw food and said, “thank you my daughter in love for breakfast.” Victoria smiled at her father in law and replied, “it’s a pleasure Dad.” They sat down and ate, food was delicious. Mark indicated to his father that he told Uncle Goodman that they were coming with the Interior Designer.
