Chapter 197 Miss Abigail Got Married

  • After the ceremony, Mr Johnson volunteered to send Miss Abigail home. When they arrived, Miss Abigail asked Mr Johnson to come inside her house for tea. Mr Johnson didn’t refuse. Then he followed her inside. Miss Abigail went to the kitchen to make tea. A few minutes later, she came back with a tea on a tray and two cups. She poured tea for him, and then she sat down opposite him. Mr Johnson thanked her and said, “Miss Abigail, there is something I want to tell you. I fell in love with you when we were at Victoria’s baby shower but I couldn’t say anything because I was still married. Also, I respect you so much. I didn’t want to tarnish your reputation. I love you so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Miss Abigail’s heart was beating uncontrollably against her chest. She couldn’t believe her ears. Was she dreaming?
  • Miss Abigail was not a pretentious person. She looked at Mr Johnson shyly and replied, “Mr Johnson, to be honest with you, I fell in love with you the first time I saw you too.” Mr Johnson was so happy; he hugged Miss Abigail and kissed her on top of her head, “thank you for trusting me with your heart. Do you mind going with me to register for our marriage tomorrow morning? Do you still have parents? I need to visit them for the betrothal gifts.” Miss Abigail smiled sweetly at him and replied, “My parents passed away a long time ago. I don’t have any siblings. I took Timothy as my brother. I will go with you to register our marriage.” Johnson hugged her and promised to fetch her at 8 am. Then he bade her goodbye and left. Abigail was so happy; she took her phone and called Timothy.
  • “Hello Timothy, I want to share some good news with you. Mr Johnson proposed to me and I said yes. Tomorrow morning we are going to register our marriage.” Timothy was happy for her and replied, “Congratulations my dearest Abigail, Emmanuel is a good man. I wish you all the best.” Then they hung up. She couldn’t sleep, she was pinching herself; pain reminded her that she was not dreaming. She knelt on the floor and thanked the Lord for fulfilling the desires of her heart. Also, she prayed for her future husband, Mr Johnson and James. She asked the Lord for protection against Mr Johnson’s ex-wife.”
