Chapter 38 Change His Will

  • Timothy Anthony spent the whole weekend at his son’s mansion. There was laughter, and they were cracking jokes. It was the best weekend ever. As a result, he decided to stay with them for a time being. They treated him well; he started regretting marrying Grace. There was no peace at the Anthony mansion; they were always fighting over Jonathan. Grace had spoilt their son rotten. He never received any support from his wife, sometimes he felt neglected. It was the last straw when his wife called his daughter in love a divorcee in front of Mark. He would never forgive her. His wife had never apologized to him for the way she spoke to him. Even his son had never apologized to him for embarrassing him in front of the board members. He was raising the ingrates.
  • On Monday morning, Victoria woke up and washed up. She went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her beloved family; she even prepared lunch boxes for them. Her father-in-law was over the moon, nobody had done that for him. “Patrick, you’ve raised my daughter in love well, she is my Anthony family treasure,” said Anthony in a good mood. Patrick smiled at Timothy; he was happy to see that his daughter was loved by her father-in-law. Victoria smiled and looked at her father-in-law, “Dad, we enjoyed spending time with you; you are welcome to visit us anytime.” Timothy beamed, “my beautiful daughter, do you mind if I moved here for few days, I’m not ready yet to face my wife.” Victoria smiled and said, “Dad, you can stay with us as long as you want, I’m so happy to see you bonding with your son.” Mark hugged his wife, “Dad, it was the best weekend ever in my life to spend time with you. Since I was a child, I have been longing to spend time with you. My prayers have been answered.” Timothy’s eyes became teary when he heard his son’s words. He couldn’t forgive himself for abandoning his son.
  • As soon as he arrived at his office, he called his lawyer, Mr Cole. He indicated that he wanted to change his will. He wanted to put his house in order should anything happen to him. His wife’s behavior had shown him that she didn’t like Mark. Timothy Anthony asked Deon to be his witness. He owned ninety percent of the shares, then he gave Victoria fifty percent of the entire empire, twenty percent each for Mark and Jonathan. He signed the will and Deon signed as a witness. He kept the copy in his safe and the original was kept by Mr Cole.
