Chapter 204 Breath Of Fresh Air

• At the Johnson residence, Rosemary Johnson was watching the video of Beauty beating up Serene. She was grinning from ear to ear. She felt that nothing would upset her that day. Unbeknown to her, she would hear the shocking news about her ex-husband. At that moment, her phone rang, “Hello my friend, are you well?” The person who was calling her was her friend who had organized the birthday celebration for her. Her husband wanted to cooperate with the Johnson Group. Therefore, he asked his wife to talk to Rosemary during her birthday celebration. Unfortunately, they received the shock of their lives when they saw Mr Johnson with his lady friend. Her friend said, “Rosemary, I was in church on Sunday and your husband and his lady friend were there too. When I asked around, I heard that the lady is the CEO of the Good News Group and they are married.” Rosemary was so shocked her hands trembled she dropped the phone. Everything before her became dark, and then she fainted. Her friend kept calling Rosemary but there was no response. She felt a faint sense of unease in her heart. She panicked and she quickly dialed James’ number.
• At that moment, James was in his office. He was extremely busy; he was preparing to go overseas to negotiate a billion dollar project with an American company. When James saw a private number he frowned. He wanted to reject the call but he hesitated, then he picked it up and said, “Hello.” Her mother’s friend replied, “Hello James, I think something bad happened to your mother. Please go to your house and have a look.” James froze, then he picked up his car keys and ran out of the office. He didn’t even tell his father, he came back to his senses when he heard someone call his name and asked, “What happened? What did you say to my mother?” Her mother’s friend was scared to tell James the truth and replied, “We were just talking on the phone then I heard the noise as if something is dropping.” When he arrived at the lifts he decided to take steps. He took three steps at a time. Immediately, he arrived at the parking lot. He quickly drove his car away at a fast speed. Within a few minutes, he arrived home. He ran to the house shouting his mother’s name. He found his mother lying on the floor unconscious. He quickly dialed Dr Michael’s number and told him that he was on his way to the hospital. He picked up his mother and rushed to the hospital.
• Dr Michael immediately admitted Rosemary to the ward. He looked at James and asked, “What happened to your mother, James?” James indicated to Dr Michael that he had received a call from his mother’s friend indicating that something had happened to his mother. At that moment, Rosemary opened her eyes. She looked confused and asked, “What happened to me, James?” before James responded, she started sobbing. She remembered the conversation between her and her friend. She looked at James and asked, “My dearest Son, please tell me the truth. Is your father married?” She was praying in her heart that it was not true. James looked at Dr Michael for help. Dr Michael nodded his head. Then he left the ward to give James and his mother time to talk. James looked at his mother and replied, “Mom, Dad is married to Aunt Abigail.” Rosemary was silent for a few minutes, and then what she said shocked James. “It is clear in my mind that your father was cheating on me behind my back with this woman. There is no way that within six months he would find love and get married. I heard that she is the CEO of the company. I will tarnish the homewrecker’s reputation.” James laughed out loud and said, “Mom, there is no truth in what you just said. You know full well that Dad is not that kind of person who will cheat. My father has always been an honest person. They met at Victoria’s baby shower since she is the twins’ godmother. Dad respects Aunt Abigail a lot to have her as a mistress. He approached Aunt Abigail two weeks ago, and then they got married the following day. I even gave them my blessing. My father deserves to be happy and you are fully aware that he wasn’t happy in his previous marriage. Aunt Abigail is a breath of fresh air in my father’s life.” His mother couldn’t believe her ears when she heard James’ words and asked, “What do you mean when you are saying you gave them your blessing? How could you do this to me?” James sneered, “Mom, my father was miserable when he was married to you. It’s too late to cry over spilled milk. You failed to appreciate my father when he was still married to you. My father is so happy, Mom. Please try to move on, don’t interfere in their marriage.” His mother was fuming and said, “Your father belongs to me and I will not allow another woman to snatch him from me.” James shook his head and said, “Mom, I advise you not to scheme against Aunt Abigail because she was the late Mrs Anthony’s best friend. Should you touch Aunt Abigail, Mr Anthony will never let you off.” Rosemary was very angry. Her body was shaking and she said, “Do you think I am scared of Timothy? Do you want me to sit still and allow another woman to steal my husband? Over my dead body, I will never let her off.” James looked at his mother and said, “That's what you said previously and you end up in police custody. Should you harass Aunt Abigail, you will regret it, Mom.” She ignored James and asked him to complete the discharge forms. While James was away, she left a note for James indicating that she had something to do. When James returned to the ward, his mother was nowhere to be found. He was relieved when he found a note. Then he left the hospital and went back to work. Rosemary decided to hire a private investigator. She asked one of her friends to refer her to a good private investigator. Her friend gave her Smith Private Investigator’s contact details. Rosemary quickly dialed the number; the call was picked up by Rich Smith. Would Rich take Rosemary’s case since Abigail was close to Mr Anthony?
