• Mrs Johnson and her daughter in law, Serene walked in Dr Cain’s office at 9:50. He greeted them with a smile and said, “let’s go to the room which I prepared for you, it accommodates five people. I forgot to ask Mr Johnson if he needs a bigger or a medium size room.” When they arrived, the nurse was already there waiting for Dr Cain. “How many people are you expecting Mrs Johnson?” asked Dr Cain smiling. Mrs Johnson replied, “we didn’t have time to invite Serene’s friends, so it would be just our family. Everyone is busy unlike the Anthony family who have so much time in their hands. I heard that the whole family accompanied Victoria. It is clear to me that they had planned their session for a long time.” Dr Cain looked at Mrs Johnson and replied with anger knowing very well that uttering the following words would be against doctor-patient confidentiality, “that is not true Mrs Johnson, it is impossible for the Anthony family to be idle. Victoria united with her long lost Aunt, her mother’s sister. She wasn’t even aware that her younger sister had passed away then she asked her brother in law, Mr Lewis to accompany her to the cemetery to pay respect to her late sister. Mark and Victoria tagged along as well. When they were coming back from the cemetery Victoria was down so Mark decided to cheer her up by organizing the 3D ultrasound scan. When Mark called everyone and asked them to accompany Victoria for her ultrasound scan they dropped everything. Victoria has done so much for the Anthony family. They treat her as treasure. Timothy is so lucky to have a daughter in law like Victoria I envy him.” Serene was so upset when she heard Dr Cain’s words. Even her father in law loved Victoria so much, what about her? • Meanwhile at the Johnson Group, Mr Johnson was in his office in a deep thought. There was no harmony in his house anymore. A lot of thoughts were going through his mind. Did he make a mistake by forcing his son to marry Victoria? Was he supposed to let his son make his own mistakes? Did he destroy his son’s happiness? At that moment someone knocked at his office door then his son James walked in and sat on the sofa. When his father looked at his son he saw sadness written all over his face. His father walked to him and said, “Son, I wished I hadn’t forced you to marry Victoria. There is a hole in my heart when I see your sadness. Please forgive me.” James looked at his father smiling and replied, “I don’t blame you Dad, you showed me how much you loved me. If I wasn’t blinded by Serene’s fake love I would be married to the most loving wife ever. Even if I would not be able to get Victoria back in this lifetime but I will always be reminded of how you loved me Dad.” His father had tears on his eyes when he heard his son’s words then he hugged him tightly and said, “Son, even though you don’t love Serene anymore, but you have to do right with your son. Why don’t you go to the hospital to see your son?” James looked at his watch it was 10:00 am, he nodded his head then he left his father’s office. He walked to his office to take his car keys then he went to the hospital.
• At the hospital, Mrs Johnson was so disappointed at her husband and her son. They were laughing out loud when they were watching Victoria’s CD, but they are failing to accompany Serene to see their own flesh and blood. She was cursing Victoria internally for bewitching her family. Even though deep in her heart she knew that it was Serene’s fault that her father in law and her husband was absent she still blamed Victoria. She was still upset that her husband agreed to be Victoria’s children Godfather. She felt suffocated when she was thinking about that. Who in the right mind could agree to that request? Her husband hurt her deeply, it is clear that he didn’t care about her feelings. She was annoyed that Victoria was still pestering her husband. She would make sure that her husband declined Victoria’s request.
