Chapter 48 We Are Pregnant

• Victoria took a shower and changed her clothes and sat on the bed waiting for her husband. Mark walked to their bedroom; he found his wife fast asleep. He tried to wake her up. She said she was not hungry. Mark went to the closet and took her pajamas and changed her. He went to the dining room, he told Auntie Angel to dish for him, Victoria fell asleep, she would eat later. After eating, he went back to their bedroom; he wore his pajamas, held his wife in his arms and fell asleep. Victoria slept throughout the night.
• “Good morning my love, are you well?” asked her husband with concern. Victoria smiled, “Good morning, Honey, I’m well but I’m so tired. How are you?” Mark told her that he was well. They took a shower and wore work clothes and went to the dining room to eat. While they were eating, Victoria’s stomach started to turn. She rushed to the bathroom to vomit. She vomited everything she had eaten. Mark followed her, when he saw her vomiting, he was so scared, he squatted next to her and patted her back and fed her some water. “Sweetheart, are you not feeling well?” Victoria shook her head, “maybe it’s something I ate.” Mark called Mr Johnson and applied for leave, and then he took Victoria to JHB General hospital for a checkup. The doctor took her blood to conduct some tests. The results showed that she was eight weeks pregnant. He referred them to the Gynecologist; they did an ultrasound. The doctor congratulated them and told them that she was pregnant with twins. They were happy and scared at the same time. Mark took his wife in his arms and kissed her; they had tears in their eyes. Then they left the hospital and went home.
• Mark looked at his wife tenderly, “thank you so much my beautiful wife for the gift you’ve given me. I’m so grateful to the Lord. I promise that I will be a good father to our children. I hope they are my princesses.” Victoria laughed and asked. “Why do you want princesses, don’t you want princes?” Mark said, “I want them to look like their mother.” He touched his wife’s stomach and kissed it. Victoria smiled and said, “I will give you princes as well who will look like you.” Mark kissed his wife and held her tight; it was a happy day.
