• While they were eating, Mr Johnson received a call from the company Fashion designer, “Hello Mr Johnson, sorry to trouble you, don’t you have Mr Mark Anthony’s phone number?” Mr Johnson looked annoyed and asked, “Why do you want Mark’s phone number for since he is no longer working at Johnson Group?” The Fashion designer replied, “Lot of people are placing orders for baby clothes that he designed but I don’t have his designs. I want to ask him to send me his designs.” Mr Johnson became so upset and sneered, “Are you not a Fashion designer yourself? Why did I hire you if you cannot surpass Mark? Don’t you ever call me about this matter again or contact Mark. Mark designed baby clothes as a gift for me.” Then he hung up the phone.
• His wife looked at her husband with worried eyes and asked, “Hubby, what’s the matter?” Her husband replied, “Sugar Lump received lots of baby clothes orders which were designed by Mark before he left. I don’t understand why he wants Mark’s phone number, since he was hired to replace Mark. I don’t know if we will survive when the restraint of trade agreement is over. He is so gifted; my heart was broken when I lost him.” His wife comforted him and said, “Why don’t you ask Mark to design more baby clothes?” Her husband replied, “I can’t do that. It would be unfair to Mark. What am I paying my new designer for? Shareholder King told me that Mark is so efficient he took most of his father’s job. He told me that Mr Anthony used to sit with proposals for months, but since Mark joined the company the turnaround time is faster.” His wife asked, “why don’t you call him and ask him to meet with you to discuss this matter?” Her husband laughed out loud and replied, “Mark took his lovely wife in his private jet to Durban to celebrate Valentine’s Day.”
• Serene was so jealous. Why was Victoria so lucky? Her husband couldn’t even buy her a single rose, but Victoria was pampered by her husband. She felt like crying, her heart became bitter. Tears brimmed in her eyes. She excused herself and ran to her bedroom crying. Her father-in-law and her mother-in-law looked at each other, shocked by Serene’s behavior.
