Chapter 148 Grace Had Been Stabbed

• At that moment, Zion received a call from his deputy indicating that Mrs Anthony had been stabbed. She had been rushed to the Pretoria General hospital. Zion looked at Jonathan and said, “Brother-in-law, something happened to your mother, I will take you to the hospital to see her.” Then he excused himself and left with Jonathan in a hurry. Jonathan was so scared, he thought Zion was hiding something from him. Maybe his mother was already dead. When they arrived at the hospital, they saw two policemen. They approached the two policemen and Zion asked, “What happened? How is Mrs Anthony?” One of them replied, “Mr White, Mrs Anthony is in the emergency room, she was stabbed by Beauty on both thighs. The inmates told us that Mrs Anthony promised Beauty that she would ask young Mr Anthony to visit her in prison. She was given three days to deliver but she couldn’t, hence the stabbing.”
• Jonathan was confused. Why did his mother promise to bring his brother to the prison to visit Beauty? It didn’t make sense, his mother had never talked to his brother before. He looked at the policeman and asked, “where did Beauty see my brother?” The policeman replied, “the inmates saw your brother during his interview with his beautiful wife on The Ark TV. Your mother was so proud of him, she was bragging, telling everyone that young Mr Anthony was his son.” Jonathan was dumbfounded why did his mother played with fire? That was a tall order. Mark would never visit his mother or Beauty. Zion was so shocked he took his phone and called Uncle Timothy, “Hello Uncle Timothy, Beauty stabbed Aunt Grace because she promised to bring big brother-in-law to visit her in prison. Aunt Grace is currently in the emergency room. We hadn’t seen her yet, but I was told that she had been stabbed in both thighs.” Uncle Timothy thanked him, then they hung up. Timothy was so shocked he told Patrick what Zion had told him. Furthermore, he told Patrick that Beauty had killed all the members of her family. She was ruthless and heartless. Patrick couldn’t believe his ears. What was she thinking? How could she provoke that kind of a woman? Was she insane or was she tired of living?
• Mark was looking at his wife with sadness in his eyes and said, “my beautiful wife, you made me sad today, when did I give you the impression that I would divorce you?” Victoria blinked her beautiful eyes and replied, “I’m sorry love it was my insecurities. I blamed myself for what happened to me and our children. You warned me several times, but I didn’t listen. I had nightmares of you leaving me. I ran after you, but you left without looking back. I cried until I had no tears.” Mark looked at his wife with gentleness and said, “it was just a dream my beautiful wife, I promise you in this lifetime you will only be my wife. You’ve made me a better man and I’m grateful to the Lord for blessing me with someone like you. You are my life, my soulmate and my everything.” Tears flowed on Victoria’s face. She was moved. She hugged her husband tightly and kissed him passionately. Mark kissed her back and he was whispering sweet nothing in her ear. Victoria’s heart melted, and it was beating so fast. Then he embraced his wife in his arms. Soon Victoria fell asleep. Mark left their bedroom and headed down to the living room.
