Chapter 66 Grace Was Banned At His Glory Hotel

• Grace called Jonathan and asked him to fetch her at Bongiwe’s house, but Jonathan refused and told her that he was busy. Grace knelt outside the gate and cried. She was hoping that Bongiwe would forgive her and take her back. She lost everything; her husband, her son, and her best friend. She decided to go to His Glory hotel because it was owned by the Anthony family. She called a cab and went to the hotel. It was a five-star hotel, so it was very expensive. She went to the receptionist, she introduced herself as Mrs Anthony, she told the receptionist that she wanted to book the Presidential suite. The receptionist took her Identity Document (ID) and punched her details into the computer. She was surprised when the system showed her that Mrs Anthony was banned from entering His Glory hotel. Mr Anthony predicted that his ex-wife would come to the hotel to stay, so he put a ban against her name. The receptionist told Mrs Anthony that she was banned from entering the hotel. She cried out loud, and then she took her phone to call her ex-husband. The call was connected. Mr Anthony picked it up without looking at the caller ID, “Timothy Anthony, you are so cruel, why did you ban me from entering your hotel? I have been your wife for twenty-five years, you divorced me without giving me a cent, and you are an evil man.” Timothy was dumbfounded. His ex-wife refused five billion rand that he offered her. He hung up the phone without uttering a word. Grace was so upset, the security guard dragged her outside the hotel, she was causing a commotion in the hotel, upsetting the guests.
• She looked for the cheapest Guest House and booked a room for a week. She planned to stay there for a few days until Bongiwe cooled off and moved back to Bongiwe’s house. She didn’t want to spend her own money, even though her husband divorced her without giving her a cent, he used to give her a one hundred thousand rand monthly allowance. On top of that he gave her a black card for spending, so she had a lot of money in her bank account. She tried to call her son again, to no avail. His phone was off. Jonathan decided to ignore his mother because she would drag him down with her. His sister-in-law had given him a new life and he was not going to mess it up. The whole Anthony family was behind him, so he wouldn’t allow his mother to interfere in his life ever again. He saw the way his father looked at Mark with pride, he would work hard to earn his father’s trust and be proud of him too. He said goodbye to his good-for-nothing friends and focused on a new chapter of his life. He would move every obstacle in his way.
• When Grace was calling her ex-husband, he was in a meeting with his son and Deon. They heard someone screaming but they didn’t know that it was his ex-wife. His mood changed, and then he told them that the meeting was adjourned. They left and went back to their respective offices. He sat alone in his office cursing himself in his heart for marrying Grace in the first place. She never contributed anything in his life; she was just like a passerby. She was eyeing his inheritance only. After he cooled off, he called Deon and told him to set up a board of directors meeting and invite all the directors. He wanted to introduce his son. Deon quickly sent a meeting invite to the board of directors, department directors and Mark for Friday at 2 pm. There was one agenda point, the introduction of additional members to the Chairman’s office. Mark quickly accepted the meeting invite. When Shareholder King received the meeting invite he was skeptical. He was reminded of the day. The Chairman sent the same invite to introduce his good-for-nothing son, but he failed to show up. He was hoping that the Chairman would not repeat the same mistake. He knew that the Chairman had another son, but he didn’t know if he was capable. He was glad that there would be a board meeting. His friend sent a contract to the Anthony Group, but it was rejected. He would use this opportunity to fight for his friend.
