Chapter 67

• I'm slightly concerned that his lack of vision will lead to us tumbling down the stairs so I break our kiss and sip my head down to kiss his neck softly. Rhodes's long legs quickly climb the stairs as he carries me quickly down the long corridor leading to his bedroom and kicks the door open.
• My body slides down his as he clicks on one of the lamps beside the bed. As my feet touch the ground I'm rather grateful that the overhead light is switched off, I think I'd prefer to keep it dark and low, it makes it feel safer somehow. Rhodes's hands are back on my waist a moment later as he slides them underneath my sweater and helps to drag it up over the top of my head, depositing it on the floor beside me.
• "Holy fuck" he breathes as he stares down at me through hooded eyes. I hadn't even realised what I was wearing underneath my sweater. "My favourites" he closes the distance between us and traces his finger along the seam of my bra, trailing it over the curves of my skin. I place my hands on his upper shoulders for support while he does this, afraid my feet with no longer be strong enough to support me.
