Chapter 356

  • "Alright Miss Kendrick, I'm just going to need you to sign a few papers" The doctor puts a few pieces of paper on the tray table beside Amelia's bed and hands her a pen. She's right handed, so the cast on her arm makes it slightly difficult, but she's been given a bunch of different exercises to do daily to help her get better motion with the cast on, and they seem to be working. She signs her names on the various points and hands the papers back to Dr Richardson.
  • "Perfect. You're going to do great Amelia. Remember all your meds and to not push yourself too hard. You're going to get better, it's just going to take time" He tells her, I can't tell if his tone is condescending or informative and kind. Amelia nods her head and gives him a small smile as she sits up on the edge of the bed, ready to be sat in the wheelchair that the nurse now brings into the room.
  • "Thank you Dr Richardson" Amelia says to him as he turns to leave. I quietly thank him before turning my attention back to Amelia as the nurses carefully aide her into the chair. A wheelchair would be fairly useless to her at home, so they've given us a cane and a walking frame to use when she's moving around. Amelia hates them both, apparently they make her feel like a 'nana', but I'll be able to fix that.
