• There's already at least a few hundred people waiting to check into their flights, I couldn't stand waiting in the lines for that long. That's one of the benefits of first class flying, we have our own line.
• "Tickets are under Whitlock" I tell the smartly dressed woman behind the check out counter as both Amelia and I slide over our passports. The woman types our details in quickly and checks our passports before we load our luggage onto the scale and wait for it to be sent through. Amelia watches on, somewhat fascinated with the process. When we left Paris we didn't have any booked baggage so I suppose the experience is slightly different this time around.
• "Here are your boarding passes, and security is this way" The woman cheerfully gestures to the left as Amelia and I pick up our passes and passports.
