Chapter 45

• Since I have the gold through my hair, I decide not to wear too much jewellery. However, I do put on the earrings that Rhodes gave me when he came back from Seattle. This would be one of the only occasions that I can think of where it will be appropriate to wear them.
• "Ready love?" Rhodes's loud voice from outside in the front room causes me to jump slightly. I take one last look at myself in the mirror and adjust my dress before I walk out of the powder room and into the front room.
• "Ready" I tell him as I walk out, adding the lipstick Anna gave me to the small black clutch along with my phone. I look up to see Rhodes standing in front of me, taking me in with a wide open grin. He looks amazing; his sleek black tux and black tie are fitted to his body nicely, so classically handsome. I find myself blushing as his lips curl to form a whistle.
