• I suck in a deep breath and shake my head, the sweet sentiment behind her words threatening to bring tears to my eyes. I've never kept birthday cards, but I will keep this one forever.
• "That's beautiful bub, thank you" I say as a warmth spreads through my chest. Amelia smiles as a sense of relief washes over her face, like she was nervous about what I would think of her card. It's complete perfection, just like everything else about her.
• "You don't have to thank me for writing you a birthday card silly" Amelia says with a slight laugh as she leans over to take out s medium size box and slides it over to me.
