Chapter 385

• "Oh, Rhode sweetheart I'm sorry did I wake you?" Claudia whispers in surprise as I enter the kitchen. Looks like she's in the middle of making a cup of tea, I can hear the faint sound of the water bubbling in the kettle and a lone empty mug sits on the counter in front of her.
• "No not at all, I was just getting a bottle of water" I explain as I open the fridge. She seems like she's nervous about having been found, as if she wouldn't be allowed to use the kitchen.
• "I guess I just can't sleep, the excitement of tomorrow. My baby's going to be a graduate, it's just so exciting" Claudia says with quiet wonder as she walks back over to the kettle. I take out a bottle of water and sit down at the island counter.
