Chapter 428

• My attention diverts away from Benjamin, who has now resolved himself to doze off in my arms and instead focuses on the two girls sitting on the couch. Amelia stops eating, a concerned frown quickly sweeping across her face.
• "What do you mean he called you the other day?" Amelia asks, seemingly flabbergasted. I can feel myself starting to become tense for her, she's so caught up in Poppy 's life and that means that so am I. I made threats to Adan the last time I saw him at the hospital, threats that I may now have to follow through on.
• "He called. He wanted to go and get coffee. He said a lot of things had happened since we split and he wanted to talk" Poppy explains calmly as Amelia becomes fidgety and flustered on the opposite end of the couch.
