Chapter 319

• "How're you feeling about all of this?" Rhode asks as we finally get onto the motorway. Having taken the day off of work and me not having any classes today, Rhode and I are currently driving up to Highcliffe for the night.
• Our first stop is straight to pick up mum and take her to see some open homes for her to move into after she's released in a few weeks. The facility is letting us take her out for a few hours so we will presumably also get some lunch and then we'll have to take her back. From there I have a few spots in mind to take Rhode out to see before a dinner at a small pub that my mum used to work at part time.
• "I'm feeling a lot; excitement, nervousness, a lot of different emotions" I reply honestly as I slouch back into the passenger seat. One of Rhode 's hands rests on my thigh and I hold onto it with both of mine, tracing my fingertips around the curve of his rings really calms me down, reminds me I'm not alone.
