Chapter 221

• I play with his hair slowly in an effort to calm him down. I don't know what to say, or what to do.
• "I'm fine, I put him in his place" I say after a minute. Rhode still seems quite mad, but it's not directed at me like it was when he caught Ryan asking me out. God that seems like forever ago now. Rhode raises his eyebrow slightly and looks down at me, a look of slight doubt on his face.
• "No I seriously did. I told him it was none of his business and that I'm very happy with you. And then I walked off and sat in the office making myself busy for the rest of my shift" I tell him proudly, a small smile stretching across my face. If someone had talked to me like that a few months ago I don't think I would have had the confidence to do what I did in there, I probably would have just stood silently and let him talk at me. But now I feel good about standing up for myself.
