• I gently set Amelia down on the bed before climbing in beside her. She's only out of my grasp for a second before her arms reach back out for me, wrapping herself around me like a vine. I can't even remember what it's like to want my own space, to not want her directly beside me.
• "I love you" She quietly mumbles close to my ear before she presses a soft kiss to my neck and rests her head on my shoulder.
• "Love you too bub" I reply, admiring how quickly her breathing evens out as she drifts off to sleep. It's been a big day, the emotional exhaustion must have caught up with her.
