Chapter 460

• "Last night" Max shrugs. Well it makes sense why Poppy hasn't called Amelia then. Poppy knows it's Amelia's first day back at work today, she won't want to add anything onto her plate. I assume she'll tell her tonight or tomorrow, well maybe I'll have to now.
• "What happened?" I ask my earlier question again, hoping for some kind of answer this time around.
• "I asked her to move in with me. She told me that we were going too fast, that I wasn't really ready for that kind of commitment and then she dumped me" Max replies in a defeated tone of voice before he slumps back against the couch cushion. Fucking hell, that just doesn't seem right.
