Chapter 120

• I still don't know if Rhodes and I are perfect for one another, but it's in these moments where that doesn't matter. All that matters is that we are here together sharing these beautiful moments with one another. And if at the end of it all I realise that he was a bad choice then I know where the blame lies, in the touch of his hands and the sweetness in his kisses.
• I slide my hands out of his hair down to his belt buckle, trying to quickly undo them. I feel Rhodes's breathy chuckle against my neck as I curse at my fumbling fingers, struggling to unhook the button after sliding the belt out from around his waist.
• My body is swept up from underneath me as Rhodes walks me backwards towards the edge of the bed. My back lands on the bed and Rhodes takes a moment to gaze at me before climbing onto the bed and hovering himself over me.
