• Rhode pauses for a second and his eyes land on mine.

The one who accepts him for exactly who he is and loves him despite all of his flaws. He's found his soulmate." I can feel the tears brimming on my eyes, it's like he's speaking directly to me. He holds my gaze for a moment before turning his attention back to Sarah and Mitch, raising his bottle of beer up towards them.
• "Mitch; congratulations on proving me wrong, I'm so grateful that you did. Sarah; I love you, thank you for settling for him. You two are my best friends, and I am so grateful for all the love and support you have given me over the years. And I'm so fucking thrilled that you guys are finally married. To the bride and groom!" Rhode 's speech ends with a flourish of applause and the sound of glasses clinking together in celebration. Before Rhode takes his seat, he walks over to Sarah and Mitch who both have stood up. Sarah wipes her eyes before wrapping Rhode in a long tight hug as Mitch scratches the back of his neck, blinking away tears of his own. Mitch and Rhode have a brief hug, both of them grinning widely as they do before Rhode takes a seat back in his chair by my side.
