Chapter 270

• I don't understand how these girls do it, we shop for nearly four hours without any of them showing any signs of boredom or tiredness. I feel like everytime we leave a store, the light outside gets darker. Some stores we are in for two minutes whereas others we are there for an hour. We also don't stop for lunch, so Sarah and I spend the day surviving on hot roasted peanuts that we purchased from a cart on the street. Thankfully, Francesca suggests that we stop into a nearby nail salon as a way to end the day. My card has had a lot of exercise today, but I think I can live with getting myself a manicure and a pedicure.
• When I'm combing through the options for polish, I find myself wondering what Rhode would choose for me if he were here. I take out my phone and take a quick picture of the colours I've narrowed it down to, there are at least a dozen to choose from so he has some good options. I can see one of the girls who works there approaching me and I know she'll want my answer. I'm about to tell her to go with the mint green one when my phone buzzes again.
