• Now I feel much more comfortable, Rhode stands behind me and wraps his arms around my shoulders, holding my back close against his front. I place my hands on his forearms and hug myself into him as I smile again for the photo. I think I'll always be in awe of just how far our relationship has come, but more so in moments like these. We've gone from negotiating rules and contracts to taking couples photos at Disneyland. The world has a lot of unknowns particularly for two very different people trying to make a relationship work, but moments like this remind me why it's always worth it. The love, the safety, the companionship, the laughter, it will always be worth it. Suddenly a thought occurs to me.
• "If you're frowning, I'll kill you" I tell him through my grin. I can hear him softly laughing near my ear, his chest shakes softly against my back.
• "I'm smiling baby" He promises me before Hannah and Ivan take a few more photos and hand Rhode back his phone.
