Chapter 363

• Later that night, I get on FaceTime with Poppy to break the news to her. She answers the phone after the third ring. The screen focuses on her with her hair pulled up into a high bun and the top of her sweatshirt as she smiles back at me.
• "Hey babes! Merry Christmas Eve!" She calls out as soon as she answers the phone.
• "Merry Christmas Eve! How's our little guy doing?" I ask as I settle in to the couch. Rhode sits down beside me and leans his head over so he can see the screen as Poppy changes the direction of the camera. Benjamin lies down in a crib beside Poppy 's bed, which she is currently sat in. He's fast asleep and shows no signs of waking up anytime soon.
