Chapter 314

• "Unkie?" Briella says as I try to leave the room after tucking her into the bed of one of the spare rooms. I sigh before turning around.
• "Yeah kid?" I ask. Her tiny frame is completely dwarfed by the massive bed surrounding her, all that can be seen is her little head and the top of one of her stuffed animals tucked away under her arm.
• "When's mummy coming back?" Her tiny voice squeaks out just above a whisper. There's really no need for it, Theo is down the hall where Amelia put him to sleep hours ago and I swear that kid could sleep through a bus crash. I walk back over to the bed and sit down on the edge of it.
