Chapter 303

• The traffic is remarkably light for a Saturday morning, and Amelia and I make it early to the church where Briella and Theo are being christened. As I pull the car into the small parking lot, I can see that my mum and Michael's cars are all here so we aren't the first ones to arrive. Climbing out of the car, mum appears in the front doorway off the church and quickly hobbles down the small set of steps over to us.
• "Oh don't you two look amazing!" She squeals and immediately wraps me in a tight hug. I don't know about me, I'm just in a regular light blue button-up shirt and dark pants, Amelia on the other hand looks like an ethereal dream.
• "It's so good to see you!" Amelia exclaims as my mum turns to hug her just as tight as she hugged me.
