• Levi and Charlotte stayed with us for the next three months. The Zetas groaned when I announced that Levi would take over their training. They had all heard how easily he had taken ten of their brothers down and true to his word, he got them ready. My Zetas flourished and I wasn’t surprised when I saw that each and every one of them had been outfitted with a karambit.
• Tala ported in regularly with William as she got to know her mother. It always brought a smile to my face when I saw the two of them together in the gardens. It was the first time in my life that I saw true emotion from Tala.
• They went back to settle in Seward in their old house and Tala visited them every week. William loved having Levi back in Seward and I was convinced that secretly Kiran was ecstatic too. He had taken Christian home and was now raising him, again. Kiran vowed that this time around he’d do it right and they spent a lot of time together since he retired.
