• Things weren’t looking up and I couldn’t find a trace of Malachi or Levi. I was very worried but still I kept quiet. I didn’t want to worry Thalia, because anything was possible. They could still be in Switzerland for all I knew.
• In my heart though, I knew something terrible had happened. I couldn’t get rid of the feeling and every night Jo would look questioningly at me. I had no answers for her and I was holed up in my office more than normal.
• Thalia spent a lot of her time at the safehouse, checking on the women, but she ate dinner with us every night when Levi was out of town, which was more often than not. Tonight wasn’t any different, but I planned on talking to her.
