• I ran through the woods to the other side of Kai’s territory and through the realms back to Cloverdale. I shifted to my human form in the woods and pulled a pair of shorts on. I couldn’t talk to Kai right now. I felt betrayed by him and Adelie.
• I walked into the house and grabbed my phone from the coffee table and ignored everyone in the living room. I switched my phone off as I headed up the stairs. Once I reached my bedroom, I slammed the door shut.
