Chapter 477

• I stood outside the restaurant at the harbor checking the message from Charlotte. I walked to my car and instinct had me looking around. I recognized her walk as I looked at her from behind. I got into my SUV and watched her. She entered a coffee shop and ten minutes later they all came outside and got into a car.
• I memorized the number plate and followed them down the highway as they drove toward the hotel. I slowed down so they wouldn’t see me turn onto the dirt road. I drove home and took my phone out as I sat in the driveway.
• “Jericho,” she answered.
