Chapter 125

• Adara went upstairs to shower after Declan had parked in front of the house. She used jet lag as an excuse to go to bed early. The truth was, she was hurt and angry and lonely. She just wanted a moment alone and Declan had looked at her in such a way that she knew he wanted to have her naked underneath him.
• Even though she was in love with Declan, sleeping with him made her feel guilty. She wasn’t sure why she felt guilty, they were basically engaged and Kiran didn’t love her anymore. She shouldn’t feel guilty at all, but she did, so she made excuses not to be intimate with him.
• Declan had told her that he would speak to Peter and Claire and announce their plans to marry. He had told her not to worry about a thing. He would get everything sorted out so that she could use this time to concentrate on her powers and to just enjoy being engaged to him.
