Back at school, we heard the rumors that I had killed Rick. Another rumor was that they had transferred to another high school and yet another was that he had left the country in fear of me. Slade had just laughed as the rumors circulated but the general bullying of the school stopped and life returned to normal, our normal.
Dani spent most weekends at our house and she pretended that we were in a relationship. At school she tried to hold my hand and it was frustrating because I thought that she understood that I wasn’t ready for a relationship.
Dani was frustrating me and Blaise was getting irritated with her but I did promise her protection and I couldn’t go back on my word. I just didn’t know what to do with the lack of feelings I had for her because I had felt that imprinting in the beginning.
