• Later that afternoon, I took Paul back to Seward and we talked. I answered all his questions and he was careful when he asked about Kari. I didn’t tell him the whole truth there, not about the enchantment and all that, only that Kari was severely depressed.
• He seemed intrigued and I laughed so hard when he asked me if I could turn him. He wasn’t impressed when I told him that it didn’t work like that. Thanks, Hollywood. I told him I’d check in on him, and to keep his mouth shut, then I told him that Levi next door was the equivalent of the big bad wolf.
• Back at the castle, and not having done any work for the day, I showered and changed for dinner. I still kept my emotions off because if I turned them on, I’d end up going to Adelie’s room and I didn’t trust myself around her.
