• The following morning we got more stares as we drove into the parking lot at school. Instead of two bikes we were now three bikes riding together. Leon was part of our pack and he looked different. Belonging to a pack does that to you plus the new clothes he was wearing also made a difference and the fact that he had eaten more in the last twenty-four hours than he had in a week.
• “Leon, did you finally rob a store to get some new clothes?” Rick called from across the parking lot as we climbed off our bikes.
