• “Your Majesty, it seems that Princess Adelie has gone for a walk, and will not be joining you for lunch,” Duncan said, as he stood in front of my desk. He looked uncomfortable at being the messenger between us, and I knew exactly how he felt. I was uncomfortable with the whole situation, as well.
• “She knew very well that we had an appointment for this afternoon since she was the one that requested it,” I said to him. I was at my wit’s end with her. She went out of her way to irritate me. She avoided me and she was playing a dangerous game.
