• I strolled down the street and back to our villa and I stopped for a while and looked out over the ocean and took in the beauty, the noise and the smells. It was beautiful but I couldn’t imagine living on an island and having the restrictions that this pack must have. I phoned Malachi on the way back.
• “I assume you landed safely?” I smiled when he didn’t greet me; he never did that.
• “Yes, we did. You would love it here,” I said to him, getting the formalities out of the way. “You’ll receive a call soon from Teeven. He is the local Alpha here. I just met some pack members who own the supermarket I wandered into.”
