- I took a deep breath and got Kiah out of the car. I made my way into the castle and down the long hallway toward Kai’s office. I was surprised that he hadn’t called me yet. His Zetas would have reported my presence to him.
- I opened his door and he turned around from where he stood in front of the window and frowned at me. “What is that?”
- “This is Kiah,” I said to him as he rounded his desk. “Kiah St. Claire.”
